Community

Northwest Pump prides ourselves on not just serving our industry, but also helping out in our community. Head quartered in Portland, OR, we have partnered up with some amazing organizations that help us give back to our neighborhoods.

Best Buddies Oregon Champion of Inclusion

Northwest Pump is a proud sponsor and supporter of Best Buddies Oregon chapter. In 2020 NWP became a Champion of Inclusion. A Champion of Inclusion is an individual who is dedicated and committed to advancing the mission of inclusion through their community involvement or work. Champions of Inclusion are people from all walks of life and come from different backgrounds. This year, we are highlighting a group of individuals of all ages and abilities, who were nominated for their commitment and dedication to making sure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the same opportunities as those without in Oregon. Lift Urban Portland

Lift Urban Portland was founded in 1980 as Northwest Portland Ministries, by a group of people from churches and synagogues in Northwest Portland. Their goal was to help neighborhood residents through coordinated volunteer efforts.

Initial activities included conducting food drives and distributing government food commodities, helping people connect with existing social services, and providing opportunities for neighborhood residents to socialize.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East revitalizes neighborhoods, builds affordable and sustainable homes, and empowers families through successful home ownership. Through volunteers, Habitat is able to assist families in need around the community and around the world!

Best Buddies Oregon

Northwest Pump’s employee, Katie Campbell, was awarded Oregon’s Champion of the Year within the Best Buddies organization in 2018. It is with great honor that we are able to aid the Oregon chapter and help Katie in her efforts. Katie’s goal is to create amazing opportunities so children with disabilities are a fully included member of their community from school, to their job, to their living situation.
