POS End-of-Life: What does it actually mean?
The major oil companies have announced there will be an “end-of-life” for support of the older Point-of-Sale systems currently linked to their networks. This will mean that, after certain dates, anyone currently using many older POS systems will find their systems are no longer supported by new software or parts. These end-of-life events will also limit the POS system choices available to “go forward”.
When is the "end-of-life" date for my POS system?
End-of-life dates vary depending on a) the major oil company, and b) the brand of POS system. We have assembled a POS End-of-Life Guide with the most up-to-date information for every major oil company, available to view and download on this page. Note: The major oil companies have rolled back their end-of-life dates before and may roll them back again in the future, so check back to this page for the most current information. |
